Sparrow Woven Badge

Katfish Designs is a local maker based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. Kath handmakes all of the tweedy birds herself, in her small chapel studio surrounded by the Yorkshire Pennines.

“Streetwise Harry Sparrow is an urban kind of guy. Hanging with his gang as they work you for crumbs. Harry’s not a fussy eater and he’s happy to spend time with with you too, as long as you're paying for lunch.”

Harry Sparrow is made from a grey checked, brown herringbone and brown check Yorkshire tweed. He has a beady little black resin button eye. The details of his face have been needle felted from natural merino fibres. The layers of fabric have been appliquéd together and backed with black felt. He fastens with a 2.5cm silver tone bar brooch back.

He measures approximately 6 x 10cm

Because all of the tweedy birds are hand made, they all have a distinct personality. There may be small differences between yours and the one in the picture
